The reunion was a BLAST!

I had a blast at the reunion.

Some hot photos of the hot mamas, papas, aunties, uncles and babies for remembrance:

Eventhough not many people attended, we really had fun. It's a pity to those who really want to come but could not... for those who did not join for the sake of not wanting to come, you have sure missed the best chance to meet your old friends (if ever you care lah kan).
Dr. Dayang demanded for another reunion... so, who will be in charged this time? We wish you all the best!
But rest assured, I would certainly want to come!

If you are reading this, PLEASE COME...

I have been pondering about the reunion since we brought the matter up way back in Quarter 3-4 last year... but i have never realised that not everybody is looking forward to meet each other after a very long time... quite frrustrating actually... after a very thorough preparation by our organising committee... it would be very much appropriate if we show our appreciation by attending, or at least try to attend. Small efforts do count...

It would be another 15 years perhaps before the next reunion, if we do have one. Friends, please dont let the reason for not going be your hesitance to meet up with your long lost friends (for whatever other hidden reasons behind it).

Please come... treat this as a vacation. Treat this as a once in a lifetime chance.

The Challenge

At first, I do not realize the fact that to gather the old friends would be this hard. Let alone to organize a function for reunion. Last 2 month, we are having a girls-only-gathering-lunch. It turned out only 4 of us were available to meet up at the 1B. But those driving in a traffic jam (Friday bah) from UMS to QE then to 1B to fetch our dearest Lina, was worth it. Fazila, Salmah, Roslinawati and me, Siti Hasnah. Meriah betul! From one story to another, we laugh until our eyes in tears, until we can say nothing. I can't imagine how wonderful it will be to meet each other during the reunion.

Though, the real challenge are
...to make our friend feels it is important to attend the reunion
...to make them feel worth to spend RM55 for a dinner with the old friends
...to persuade them to come for a chance of good networking and contacts with important people (most of the xukms is now 'somebody')

I know, with the commitment to works and family, every gathering or reunion seems very hard to be materialized. But, if we have already announce it 7 - 8 months in advance, and we do not give at least a tiny effort to come, then I can't say anything. It is our own choice by the way.

First UKMS Reunion 2009

The idea of having a reunion dinner was a suggestion from batch 1996/1997. It has been more than 10 years since we left UKMS, but the memories remain.

The mastermind behind all this thing is Adlin and of course Nurulalsah. Thanks for their commitment, the reunion dinner is almost a reality. The big day is just around the corner, 41 days to be exact. Really hope everything will went as plan.

For those who hasn't made up your mind, please come and join us. It should be fun! Do you still remember Dr. Dayang? Don't you want to revisit the memory on how she and your friends had touched our life before? Don't you want to see these people that has at least a some influence to your life now?
